Increasingly, systems and methods are being used to streamline asylum procedures. These range from biometric matching machines that assess iris verification and fingerprints to sites for refugees and political refugees to chatbots to help people register protection conditions. These tools are created to make this easier meant for states and agencies to process asylum applications, especially as many systems are currently slowed down because of the COVID-19 outbreak and increasing levels of required displacement.
